About OGS

Two decades of building capability in Nigeria's oil & gas industry.

For two decades, OGS has worked with organisations across Nigeria's oil & gas industry to strengthen leadership, workforce, and organisational capability. Today, that experience underpins our work helping organisations build the capabilities required to turn digital and AI investments into sustained business performance.

The Practice

From capability work to digital and AI capability

OGS was founded on the conviction that organisations succeed when their people, leadership, and ways of working are equipped for the challenges in front of them. For nearly two decades that meant leadership development, workforce capability, and organisational effectiveness for operators, service organisations, and regulatory agencies.

Digital and AI have changed what those challenges look like. The Practice is the response: a focused, executive-grade practice that helps organisations build the capability to turn digital and AI investment into sustained performance.

Dr. Emmanuel Emielu, PhD

Founder and Principal Consultant, OGS

Emmanuel Emielu is the Founder and Principal Consultant of OGS. His career spans more than four decades across technology, oil & gas, management consulting, executive development, and organisational capability.

His technology background began as a Certified Oracle Professional during the dot-com era and developed through senior roles with Halliburton Energy Services across Sub-Saharan Africa. He subsequently spent seven years on ExxonMobil's Global Leadership Training Faculty, delivering executive and leadership programmes across Africa and the Middle East.

He holds a PhD in Management, with research focused on digital transformation, dynamic capabilities, and competitiveness, as well as postgraduate management education from Ashridge (Hult) Business School and Lagos Business School.

His recent work includes designing and delivering AI strategy interventions for senior executives within major NOCs and Independent E&P companies, extending a career-long focus on the intersection of technology, leadership, and organisational performance.

Technology can enable change, but organisations create the results. My work has therefore remained centred on the capabilities leaders, people, and organisations need to turn technology and strategic intent into performance.

How OGS works

Three commitments in every engagement

  1. 01Evidence before prescription

Findings rest on structured evidence gathered from the organisation, not on opinion or generic benchmarks.

  2. 02Capability before technology

OGS does not implement or sell technology. The work is organisational: strategy, leadership, people, process, and how technology is run.

  3. 03Performance as the measure

Every engagement is designed to show up in business outcomes, and to be reassessed as the environment changes.
